Channing Tatum isn't afraid to tell men he loves them.

The Hollywood hunk has struck up a bromance with Jonah Hill after starring in 21 and 22 Jump Street together. And unlike many guys, the 34-year-old is not afraid to express his feelings for his funnyman friend.

"We love each other!" he grinned to German magazine Bravo. "I don't have a problem with telling my friends I love them. Most guys can't do that, they have to say, 'I love you, man.' But I can say that without the 'man'."

In 22 Jump Street the actors reprise their roles as chaotic police officers Schmidt and Jenko, this time heading to college to go undercover as students.

There are plenty of fun action scenes, which Jonah, 30, almost avoided with a sneaky trick.

"Right from the start I thought how funny it would be to do each stunt as badly as possible," he snickered. "Then Chan would have to learn how to do them all by himself to make it look good."

Channing married his Step Up co-star Jenna in 2009 and they have 14-month-old daughter Everly together. The actor's little girl not only dominates his private life but also influences his career.

"I've promised myself only to accept roles my daughter can see while she's young," he shared. "So she can understand what her dad does."

For Jonah, it's all about the kind of films he'd like to watch himself. And judging by his back catalogue, this means comedy - he's appeared in funny flicks This Is the End, Knocked Up and The Sitter.

"Maybe I shouldn't just go for characters I really like, but rather ones that challenge me," he mused. "They should force me to finally become a better actor."
