Channing Tatum is not a good loser.

The 34-year-old actor will soon be seen in Foxcatcher, where he plays a wrestler.

In real life, Channing still has the determined-to-win streak he had when he was younger.

"[I'm] very, very competitive," he told British magazine Hello! "I wish I could say I've evolved into the sort of person who's a good loser, but I'm not. I'm the kid who is not happy at all if our team loses, and I'll go to pretty much any length to win. I get that from my dad."

Channing is now a father himself, to 15-month-old daughter Everly with wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum. And while parenthood is everything he thought it would be, there are some things he has to prepare himself for well in advance.

"Just this week, my wife pulled our daughter's hair back and put it in a little scrunchie for the first time and I thought, 'Oh my God, I don't have a baby any more, I have a little girl,'" he said. "'I'm going to have to learn how to braid hair and one day this little thing is going to want to paint my nails and I'm going to have to let her.' It's great and it's fun but, boy, it hits you!"

Channing credits his family as one of the main reasons for keeping him so grounded in the fame-hungry Hollywood world.

"When I'm not making movies, I'm going home to my 15-month-old daughter, who's running around everywhere and needing to be looked after," he explained. "My life is not about me anymore, it's about her, which is awesome actually."
