Channing Tatum dropped the F-bomb in front of Britain's Prince William.

The actor is currently starring in Magic Mike XXL, where he's back as stripper Mike, who has to keep his cool in front of crowds of adoring women.

In real life he's prone to getting slightly more flustered though; like the time he met British royalty.

"I could not have sounded dumber in my entire life if I tried. I mean, I cussed like 25,000 times. I said the F-bomb. I couldn't remember stuff. It was so embarrassing. It was a nightmare," he cringed to the UK edition of GQ magazine.

The original Magic Mike, which came out in 2012, was based on Channing's own life as a stripper, and he recently revealed he'd do "a lot of bad things for one dollar bills".

He also confesses to being a bit of a handful as a child, which earned him the nickname Chanimal.

"I would eat anything, tear anything up. I was just a little animal. In every one of my pictures, I was covered in whatever I was eating and probably chewing on the wallpaper," he laughed.

The 35-year-old has grown more refined in his adult years. He's a proud father to daughter Everly, two, with wife Jenna and as well as finding fame, Channing has realised his passion for sculpting.

"I just thought I could do it, for some reason. You know, I think I can understand how to do that. Like, can I do a back flip? Yeah, I think I can. And I don't know why, but I just knew I could," he explained of the hobby.

"The nice thing about clay is I have zero responsibility to it. It doesn't care if I ever finish it. It's clay. It doesn't care if it's any good. You can smash it when you're done and it doesn't matter. I don't need to make a living off it. Make fun of it and it doesn't matter... It's clay."
