Charlie Sheen has reportedly donated $75,000 to help a little girl battling cancer.
The notorious bad boy actor showed a softer side after hearing a ten-year-old child called Jasmine had been diagnosed with Childhood Rhabdomyosarcoma. Charlie was recently talking to a Hermosa Beach police officer who told him a fellow cop’s daughter was suffering from poor health.
According to TMZ, the actor vowed to help and apparently said, "No parent should have to watch their kid go through that.”
Charlie wrote out a cheque to the Hermosa Beach Police Assoc. the following day, and it has been donated to a fund started to help pay for Jasmine’s treatment.
Childhood Rhabdomyosarcoma is a disease in which malignant cells form in muscle tissue and it requires a great deal of radiation and chemotherapy sessions.
Charlie’s stunt double Eddie Braun also felt moved by Jasmine’s story and apparently added to the fund with a cheque for $25,000.
Jasmine’s family are said to be thrilled with the generous donations.
Jasmine isn’t the only person Charlie has been helping recently. It was reported that the 47-year-old actor gave his Scary Movie 5 co-star Lindsay Lohan $100,000 to help her settle an unpaid tax bill.
Charlie has confirmed he did give Lindsay a sum of money, but has not discussed the amount. Although the star says he was happy to “pay it forward” he claims the troubled starlet is yet to get in touch to acknowledge his kindness.
"I'm still waiting for a text to say 'thank you,'" Charlie laughed to ET. "Anything, you know'"
