Charlie Sheen is allegedly being investigated for assault with a deadly weapon.
Police reportedly want to talk to the 49-year-old following allegations made after he visited a dentist.
The troubled star apparently visited the medical professional in Los Angeles last Thursday as he was suffering with an abscess. Once in the chair, a technician tried to put a mask on him so he could be sedated with nitrous oxide, which is when the trouble flared. According to TMZ, Charlie immediately became erratic, throwing his arms around and hitting the dental worker.
She has apparently told police she then left the room, leaving an oral surgeon and the dentist Charlie had brought with him behind - as well as members of his security team, who entered as he walked out.
It's alleged there was "a lot of commotion" in the room, culminating in the actor's personal dentist exiting the room and claiming Charlie had brandished a knife at him and "went after him". The man wasn't injured, but the technician has alleged that a bodyguard told her Charlie had taken rock cocaine.
TMZ reports an investigation by police is ongoing, with battery against the technician and felony assault with a deadly weapon both charges being considered. Cops are apparently looking to speak to both Charlie and the dentist, with the final decision about any charges taken by the county district attorney.
At the moment the actor hasn't commented on the report.
Earlier this week it was confirmed that production on Charlie's show Anger Management had been halted after he was involved in a strange accident at his home. Shooting was held up for a week after the incident, the star's representation confirmed.
"Charlie was playing with one of his dogs in the pool and he accidentally dove into the shallow end, thinking it was much deeper and cut his nose," Jeff Ballard told RadarOnline.
“He was taken to the doctor and got stitches. He was out of work for about a week, but was back on Monday morning."
Charlie has been relatively quiet recently, although he is famed for getting into public spats with his ex-wives Brooke Mueller and Denise Richards. In 2011 he underwent a public meltdown after he was fired from Two and a Half Men, which saw him make bizarre public statements such as that he had "tiger blood" running through his veins.
