Charlize Theron ‘adopts daughter’

Charlize Theron has reportedly adopted another child.

The 39-year-old actress is already mother to son Jackson, who she adopted in March 2012. It’s now been claimed she has welcomed a little girl into her household, although details are scarce.

According to TMZ Charlize has been meeting with an adoption agency for the last six months, and she has now become a mother to a little girl called August.

The tot was born in America and she joined Charlize’s family last month. At the moment it’s not known how old she is, with the Oscar-winning actress yet to release an official statement confirming the news.

Although Charlize doesn’t talk about her personal life in depth, she has discussed her feelings on adoption in the past. Even when she was a little girl she knew it was something she wanted to do.

“My mother found a letter that I wrote when I was eight years old that said, ‘Would you please take me to an orphanage, so that I can go and adopt a baby?’” she laughed in 2012, when quizzed on how long she’d wanted to adopt. “So, I think it’s been a while!

“I always knew I would adopt — always.”

In May the star hinted that she was planning to have another baby, when she explained that she doesn’t like to limit herself in any way.

“I mean, I’m so open to anything in my life,” she said. “I was never like, ‘Oh god just one,’ I was always kind of open to whatever kind of happens.”
