Jamie Chung thinks rumours about Selena Gomez are “a bunch of B.S.”.

The Sin City: A Dame to Kill For actress stars alongside Selena in their forthcoming film Rudderless.

And Jamie is appalled when she hears bad things about Selena in the media because the star doesn’t think her 21-year-old castmate deserves such criticism.

"Yeah, totally, that's a bunch of B.S." Jamie told E! News. "I mean, her personal life is her personal life…But she's a good woman and she comes from a really good family."

The women have cultivated a strong relationship over the years.

And Jamie thinks Selena has grown into a fine person.

"Well, I've worked with Selena Gomez before when she was 15 years old…She's raised from just such a great family," the 31-year-old star shared. "Her mom is amazing, she's got such a good head on her shoulders.

"She's a hard worker, she's humble, she's good to her fans and she's always been that way. And now as a young woman, I miss her as well, I didn't get to see her, but seeing the work, she did such an amazing job. And she's so talented."

Selena was recently acknowledged by fans at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards.

She took home the gong for Ultimate Choice Award and gave a loving speech while receiving her prize.

"I cannot thank you guys, amidst all the stuff we deal with personally, you remind me what's important: giving and caring about each other," Selena gushed in an emotional acceptance speech.

Musical drama Rudderless, which also co-stars Billy Crudup and William H. Macy, hits cinemas in October after debuting at this year's Sundance Film Festival.
