Clint Eastwood 'American Sniper' has cast 'Homeland' actor Navid Negahban and three others to star alongside Bradley Cooper in the forthcoming film.

Clint Eastwood's 'American Sniper' has recruited four new stars.

'Homeland' actor Navid Negahban - who starred as Abu Nazir in the popular drama - Nashville's Eric Close, Boardwalk Empire star Eric Ladin and Gang Related's Rey Gallegos have been cast in the forthcoming adaptation, reports deadline.com.

They will join Bradley Cooper, who plays male lead Chris Kyle, in the story of his journey from being a Texas rodeo cowboy to a Navy SEAL chief, based on the book 'American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in US Military History' by Kyle, Scott McEwen and Jim DeFelice.

Kyle - who was shot and killed at a shooting range near Texas in February 2013 - earned the title of the highest number of sniper kills in US military history with 160 deadly shots.

Negahban will play an Iraqi local who helps the SEALs find their target, while Ladin has been cast as a Southern California surfer kid who is part of the special operations force team and Gallegos is the chief of the SEAL team.

Filming starts at the end of March in Morocco.
