George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin have reportedly spared no expense on their wedding.

The pair are due to tie the knot this weekend in Venice, Italy and they will be celebrating their union over three whole days with a loved ones, including a host of A-list guests.

And according to British newspaper The Mirror, George and Amal are splashing out at least £2 million on their nuptials.

“This is a no-expense-spared wedding to beat all weddings,” a source told the outlet. “George knows how to party and will be putting on a great show. He wants people to be swept away.”

It’s believed Amal will be walking down the aisle in a stunning Alexander McQueen gown.

But apparently George doesn’t want to don anything elaborate as they exchange vows, opting for a more “simple, sleek” look designed by Armani.

“He doesn’t want anything fancy... just a classic, no-frills outfit,” the insider explained.

Us Weekly magazine previously reported Venice’s lavish Hotel Cipriani will host many of the high profile guests invited to the wedding.

Apparently the lush lodging establishment is going all out to impress, as the publication obtained a photo in which the hotel's Granary area is seen having a makeover. Giant chandeliers have been fitted in intervals in the ceiling and special place settings for the attendees are ready to be laid out.

Many of George's A-list friends are expected to attend, including Matt Damon, Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber and Bono.

George and Amal are thought to be officially tying the knot on Monday at an Italian town hall.
