George Clooney's wedding venue has been fitted out with crystal chandeliers ahead of the big day.

The 53-year-old actor and his fiancée Amal Alamuddin are due to tie the knot in Venice, Italy, tomorrow, with preparations already in full swing.

The city's lavish Hotel Cipriani will host many of the A-list guests invited to the ceremony and is going all out to impress. In an exclusive image obtained by Us Weekly, the hotel's Granary area is seen having a makeover. Giant chandeliers have been fitted in intervals in the ceiling and special place settings for the attendees are ready to be laid out.

Amal's family are apparently staying at the establishment and can't wait for proceedings to kick off.

"Her mom [Baria] is at the hotel already with a host of family members," an insider told the publication. "They seem excited about the festivities. I heard her mom say, 'I can't believe it's actually here!'"

Amal and her mother jetted into Milan on Thursday and the lawyer and her fiancé will apparently arrive in Venice later today.

Many of George's A-list friends are also thought to be en route, including Matt Damon, Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber and Bono.

Tonight will see a rehearsal dinner held at the Cipriani, which will also offer breakfast to wedding guests tomorrow. After that they will take a boat to the seven star Aman Canal Grande, which is where the marriage will take place.

Once the vows are exchanged, a five-course meal will be laid on courtesy of Italian chef Riccardo de Prà. Following that, evening drinks and a firework display will be hosted back at the Cipriani. More festivities will take place on Sunday, with the pair holding a civil ceremony on Monday.

"Everyone is very excited. It's going to be quite the party," another source said. “There is a lot of celebrating planned. They will be serving... tequila at a couple of the parties!”
