Elisabetta Canalis is reportedly set to wed in Italy in the same month as her ex George Clooney.

The Italian actress announced her engagement to orthopaedic surgeon Brian Perri on Friday.

And new reports suggest Elisabetta is planning her nuptials to take place in Sardinia on September 14.

But ironically, George is also said to be planning a September wedding in Italy to fiancée Amal Alamuddin.

The 53-year-old actor is thought to be hosting the ceremony at his exclusive Lake Como property.

However, Elisabetta is reportedly unconcerned by the coincidence, and is focusing on her own big day,

"She's happy for him," a source told Us Weekly magazine. "They have both moved on to find their own happiness."

George and British attorney Amal got engaged in April and obtained a marriage certificate by applying for a wedding banns in London in July.

According to E! Online, Amal expressed concern to a registrar during the appointment over what might take place ahead of their upcoming union.

“[Amal said she] was worried about the press finding out the date of the wedding," a source told the outlet.

Fortunately for Amal, the website reports she wasn’t required to specify the wedding date.

Despite her alleged anxiety, it’s claimed the barrister was “happy” while filing a certificate of no impediment (CNI) at Chelsea Town Hall in London. The CNI serves as an official notice of intent to wed in the UK and a wedding banns must be displayed in public for 21 days before a marriage is legally recognised.
