Colin Farrell: The One is a myth

Colin Farrell doesn't believe in The One.

The 39-year-old Hollywood hunk has been somewhat unlucky in love after failed relationships with actress Amelia Warner and writer Emma Forrest.

He also dated model Kim Bordenave, with whom he has son James, and actress Alicja Bachleda-Curus, who he has son Henry with.

Despite having had to deal with heartache, he sees the positive in his situation.

"I'm in no rush to get married," he assured German magazine TV Movie, adding he does however still believe in marriage. "I'm very happy anyway, thanks to my kids. But I don't believe there's just one person in the world for everyone. With eight billion people, that search could take a while!"

Colin is hands-on father and spends as much time as possible with his two children. For his latest project, TV show True Detective, he spent a lot of time filming in Los Angeles, which meant he could catch up with his sons afterwards.

"It was great seeing them after work," he beamed.

For his role in True Detective, Colin was yet again cast as a cop. With previous experience in films such as Miami Vice and S.W.A.T., you'd be forgiven for thinking he loves playing a policeman.

"I've played a cop at least 15 times," he sighed. "Even though I hate weapons and don't think much of the police badge."

However, he did enjoy the small-screen aspect this time: "TV takes a lot more risks these days, much more so than the film industry. A movie just can't keep up with a whole series."
