Bradley Cooper thinks Emma Stone is one of the most “special” actresses he’s worked with.

The duo are currently promoting their forthcoming dramedy Aloha, which centres on the romantic triangle a military contractor finds himself in after reuniting with a former flame while simultaneously falling for an Air Force agent assigned to watch him closely.

Emma starred in musical Cabaret on Broadway from November 2014 to February 2015 and her New York City theatre stint coincided with Bradley’s, as he played the lead in The Elephant Man at the Booth Theatre from December of last year through until its closing on February 15.

Bradley loved being in the Big Apple at the same time as Emma, as he finds her deeply inspirational.

“She did Cabaret and was unbelievable,” he gushed to People magazine. “I was privileged enough to be on Broadway when she was, so it was amazing we were a few blocks away from each other. It was really special.”

Bradley found filming Aloha with Emma equally wonderful.

He claims the stars made each other cackle with glee on set.

“We laughed so hard during the whole movie,” Bradley recalled. “We like to see comedy in everything, at the most dramatic possible moments; I laugh around her more than with anybody else.

“We’re two people who have been so blessed, it’s crazy. We get to do what we do and love, and work with the people that we get to work with. And I get to work with her.”

Director Cameron Crowe’s picture Aloha, which also stars Rachel McAdams, reaches American cinemas on May 29.
