Courteney Cox has apparently come up with an idea for a new TV show starring Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow.

The three women found fame appearing in smash-hit US TV comedy Friends, with David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry joining them.

This year marks a decade since the series ended, with the group constantly fielding questions about when they will make a movie adaptation. That isn't on the cards, but apparently reprising her role as Monica during a US talk show skit got Courteney thinking. Jennifer and Lisa also appeared in the spoof feature, with all three women having a lot of fun.

"Courteney wants to direct a pilot starring herself, Jen and Lisa as middle-aged women who have kids by artificial means. She started talks after their appearance on Jimmy Kimmel last month. They had another dinner together in LA on 23 September at the Sunset Tower Hotel's Tower Bar to discuss details and it went really well," an insider told British magazine Heat. "They're all incredibly excited at the prospect of working together again. Doing Jimmy's show reminded them how much fun they used to have."

The news comes as something of a surprise, as earlier this year Courteney ruled out a Friends reunion, insisting it wouldn't happen because getting the six stars together was too hard.

The only fly in the ointment is said to be the proposed storyline of the show, which is thought to be a bone of contention for Jennifer, 45.

"The baby topic must have hit a nerve for her. She's the only one who hasn't had children - Courteney's got [daughter] Coco and Lisa's got [son] Julian, while Jen hasn't become a mom yet, so it might be difficult to joke about. But, either way, the three girls are all in total agreement that a work reunion of some sort is in order," the source added.

Jennifer has previously insisted she is tired of hearing rumours about herself becoming a mom, as she is completely happy with her fiancé Justin Theroux and feel she has "birthed" many other things, such as films.
