Kaley Cuoco has compared her The Big Bang Theory co-stars to "the good kids in school".
The 28-year-old has appeared as Penny in the CBS comedy series since 2007 alongside Mayim Bialik, Jim Parsons and ex-boyfriend Johnny Galecki. Despite working together for so long, the cast feel like the experience has gone by in the blink of an eye.
"We're so close; it's a great group of people who leave their egos at the door. We're like the good kids in school," Kaley told People magazine. "You come back and we all have the same jokes and the same lunch and make fun of each other the same way and laugh the same, and it's really like no time has passed."
Kaley more than many of her colleagues has been on the receiving end of media attention since the show became a hit. Her whirlwind romance with tennis player Ryan Sweeting and subsequent marriage on New Year's Eve last year caused a stir, but the actress has been in the industry long enough to know how to avoid any unnecessary attention.
"When you've been in the business this long, you know what to do and how to act to keep your sanity," she explained. "You learn who to talk to, where to go and how to act. If you don't want to be photographed, don't go to the Ivy, and wear undergarments when you go out."
For the blonde beauty, she is still enjoying married life, as long as the couple stay away from the tennis court.
"I told him, 'It's so dumb to hit with you, I'm just not good enough' and he goes 'Did you think you were good enough?'" she recalled with a laugh, before joking, "That's when the crying started."
