Daniel Radcliffe has never been trick-or-treating.

The 25-year-old actor is currently promoting his horror flick Horns, in which he plays a young man accused of murdering his girlfriend. But it's his role as wizard Harry Potter that gets the most attention around Halloween time, with countless children dressing up as the magical character and his Hogwarts schoolmates.

While All Hallows' Eve is a popular holiday for many, Daniel didn't take part in the ritual that comes with it when younger.

“It’s kind of catching on now [in England], but when I was a kid it was really not big, for whatever reason. I’ve never been trick-or-treating in my life, which is a fact that sort of amazes a lot of people and I think I’m maybe missing out a little bit,” Daniel told Ellen DeGeneres on an episode of her show, airing tonight.

Not getting involved as a kid may be why he enjoyed dressing up for the interview so much, opting for a Boba Fett costume from the sci-fi franchise Star Wars.

Ellen also went all out and made the audience laugh by dressing up in a white wedding dress and black wig, resembling newly married Amal Clooney. She even brought out a humorous puppet of a man dressed in a black tux, sticking a printout of heartthrob George Clooney over the face.

Making a joke about her sexual orientation, having been married to actress Portia de Rossi since 2008, Ellen explained her outfit choice.

“I like Halloween because it’s the one time of year you can dress up however you want, and pretend you’re someone you’d never be in real life. For me, that’s married to a man,” she grinned.

“Ya know, I went all out for you people. I didn’t even wear a wedding dress to my own wedding. This might be my sexiest costume yet. Because what’s sexier than a woman with a brain?”
