(Cover) - EN Movies - Danny Boyle has dismissed claims he could direct the next Bond film.
There has been speculation that the filmmaker could helm a future James Bond movie after working with current 007 Daniel Craig and Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II on a segment for the London Olympic Games Opening Ceremony earlier this year. However Boyle, whose previous credits include Trainspotting and Slumdog Millionaire, has ruled himself out of such a project.
When asked on BBC Radio 4’s Front Row if he would consider directing a James Bond film, he replied: "No, I'm not very good with huge amounts of money."
Boyle went on to reveal that helming 2000 movie The Beach, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tilda Swinton, put him off working on another big production.
"Don't trust me with huge amounts of money anybody. I did a film, The Beach, which was a proper Hollywood scale budget and it didn't suit me,” he explained. "Certain people can handle that and I love watching those kinds of films, but I'm much better with a smaller amount of money and trying to make it go a long way."
Danny is currently working on his next movie Trance, starring James McAvoy and Rosario Dawson. The crime thriller is slated for release in spring 2013.
