Demi Moore reportedly wants to support Ashton Kutcher as he becomes a father for the first time.

The 51-year-old actress split from ex-husband Ashton in 2011, after he was accused of being unfaithful. The 36-year-old star is now engaged to Mila Kunis and she is expected to give birth to their first child any day now.

Demi is said to be thrilled for her former spouse and hopes to impart some words of wisdom as she has three daughters from her previous marriage to Bruce Willis.

"[Demi] has offered to help in any way that she can with the baby and with Mila," an insider told RadarOnline.

"Things have settled down a lot, and she wants to be there for Ashton’s family."

Although things are good between the pair now, their split wasn't without its difficulties. Not long afterwards Demi began exhibiting erratic behaviour, culminating in her being hospitalised after she had a seizure-like episode while smoking an undisclosed substance. She then spent time in rehab, with her representative saying she needed to improve her overall health - no more details were forthcoming.

The actress' relationship with her daughters Rumer, Tallulah and Scout also became strained, with claims the girls were even considering getting a restraining order against their mom.

The star has apparently moved on and is now eager to establish a solid friendship with Ashton and Mila.

"Demi is putting the past behind her now," the insider explained. "She is in total acceptance now.

“She ultimately has great love for Ashton and has accepted the fact that he is in love Mila and that they are starting a family."
