Diane Kruger: People don’t know me

Diane Kruger finds it “disturbing” that so many people have opinions about her.

The German star became a model and later an actress after an injury prematurely her ballet career.

Her personal life has been the subject of much speculation as she has been dating actor Joshua Jackson since 2006 and was previously married to French director Guillaume Canet.

Diane is currently promoting her new movie Farewell, My Queen – in which she plays Marie Antoinette during the final days of the French Revolution. The star admits there are some similarities between being a Hollywood actress and a member of the royal family.

"What is comparable is the really lonely life,” she explained to French magazine Be. “The more you're famous, the more people have an opinion on you. And sometimes, it's disturbing, because I don't feel that I have changed."

The 35-year-old star is often praised for having an admirable work ethic on movie sets.

However, Diane insists she knows how to enjoy herself and finds it easy to relax when she isn’t working. While the beauty likes to unwind with a glass of wine, she would never get carried away.

"I get drunk, but not to such an extent where I am losing myself or disrespectful towards people,” she added. “I don't really know if it's because I am German or because it is the way I've been raised."
