Peter Dinklage is heading Off-Broadway.

The Game of Thrones star will share the stage with Orange is the New Black actress Taylor Schilling in a revival of Ivan Turgenev’s 19th century comedy A Month in the Country, according to Variety.

It will be a family affair for Peter, whose wife, Erica Schmidt, is directing the Classic Stage Company show.

Variety reports the actor will play a character named Mikhail Rakitin, an admirer of Taylor’s character, Natalya, the wife of a wealthy landowner.

Peter has previously performed Off-Broadway in the Public Theater’s 2004 production of Richard III.

Taylor, however, will be making her New York stage debut with the show.

Performances are scheduled to begin January 9, although an official opening date has not yet been announced.

Both of the show’s stars meanwhile are having a banner year, with Peter and Taylor’s hit US TV dramas nominated for Emmy Awards.

Peter was also most recently seen on the big screen in blockbuster action flick X-Men: Days of Future Past, featuring an A-list cast including Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin and Ellen Page, among others.

The actor played Bolivar Trask, a scientist who creates an army of killer robots to protect humans from the mutants, and a character he celebrates as “a man of invention”.

“I didn’t want to play the villain. He’s a man of science,” he told Entertainment Weekly back in October.

“He’s a man of invention. He actually sees what he’s doing as a good thing — [his ambition is] definitely blind and he’s quite arrogant. He’s strove all his life for a certain respect and attention.”
