Michael Douglas is a slow learner when it comes to social media.

The 70-year-old has children Dylan, 14 and Carys, 12, with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones. And it seems the youngsters have to help their dad to get to grips with modern technology.

“I'm a very slow learner, I get very nervous,” he admitted to Extra when asked about his social media skills. “I say ‘Show me,’ and they try to take it out of my hand. I say, ‘Don’t take it out of my hand, tell me, show me so I can do it. You go and do it so fast that I can never repeat that.’”

Michael chatted to the outlet at the Los Angeles premiere of his new movie, Ant-Man. The legendary actor is thrilled to be part of the Marvel franchise, and confessed his son Dylan was chuffed about his father’s latest role too.

“He was like my agent, Dylan. He’s 14, he's like, ‘Dad, you don't understand, this is a new audience for you,’ and I said you‘re right, most of my career was R-rated movies,” he laughed.

The Wall Street star walked the red carpet alone, without his wife of 14 years or his offspring. He revealed they were still enjoying a vacation overseas, but would be by his side at the London premiere in a few days’ time.

“I just came over here for this, but the next premiere is in London, this next weekend, so they're coming on the red carpet and all that, and they’re very excited,” he smiled.

Michael spoke recently of how much he wanted to play a role that his children could see and enjoy and working with the comic giant has catered to that perfectly.

“I finally got a picture my son is proud of. It’s taken me 40 years,” he laughed to Collider. “Everything, I’m cool, now I’m cool.”
