Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne feels settled in his own skin now he's married.

The actor wed wife Hannah Bagshawe nearly a year ago, tying the knot at private members' club Babington House in Somerset, England, on December 15 2014. Talking to Glamour magazine about married life, Eddie reveals he and Hannah are still enjoying the honeymoon period.

"I love being married," he gushed to the publication. "I feel so settled in my skin. So lucky to have the most wonderful, supportive, beautiful wife."

Shortly after getting hitched, Eddie received Oscars glory for his role as Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything. Work hasn't slowed in the nine months since, with the 33-year-old once again creating Oscars buzz with his new film The Danish Girl, which tells the true story of transgender pioneer Lili Elbe (born Einar Magnus). The role was another physical one for Eddie, who received words of advice from his Jupiter Ascending director Lana Wachowski (formerly Laurence).

"While I was working with Lana I mentioned Gerda (Wegener, Lili's wife) and Lili to her," Eddie told bostonglobe.com. "She spoke passionately about their story and their art. And she had such illuminating things to say about Man into Woman, the diary that was published after Lili’s death, though people don’t know if it is entirely her writing. (It is a slightly unreliable source.)

"She pointed out where to start my education. And when I was travelling a lot promoting The Theory of Everything I got to meet transgender women in London and the states and from many different nations."

The Danish Girl opened in US cinemas on Friday (27Nov15), to solid box office takings.
