This year’s Star Wars Day on May 4th will be one of the most exciting yet, with fans looking forward to the release of Episode VII in just over six months.

Anticipation is already reaching fever pitch as the release of the second trailer recently demonstrated. Fans sent over a million and a half tweets within 24 hours of the teaser being posted online, the majority excited about the return of Han and Chewie.

According to DeAgostini Publishing, the company behind The Official STAR WARS Fact File and STAR WARS Build the Millennium Falcon magazine, who monitored social activity following the trailer’s release, almost a quarter of a million tweets were sent within the first hour.

Although more details are likely to be revealed over the coming months, De Agostini has two publications to make sure that fans get their Star Wars fix until the Force finally awakens in December.

Perfect for catching up on the saga so far, or as an introduction for those new to that galaxy far, far away, The Official STAR WARS Fact File is the largest Star Wars guide ever published. Licensed by Lucasfilm, it features facts and figures from the original and prequel film trilogies, the Clone Wars TV series, and the official Star Wars novels, games and comics throughout the years.

STAR WARS Build the Millennium Falcon is a weekly publication, each issue of which comes with a selection of parts that build into a 1:1 scale model of the original Empire Strikes Back movie prop, including pre-painted hull parts, removable panels, working electronics for the moving ramp, LED lighting, and many internal details including the famous dejarik hologame table.
