Freddie Fox has a filthy hard drive.

The British actor has found fame both on the big and small screen after bursting on to the scene in 2009.

He's also no stranger to the stage and has played numerous gay roles throughout his career. His latest role is in sexually charged British show Cucumber, a series about the lives of a group of gay men. Playing the part was no problem for Freddie, though he often had to look up some of the sexual plotlines as he couldn't follow them.

"Whenever Russell [T Davies, writer] thought that we wouldn't understand something in the script, he included a web link so we could look it up. My hard drive is probably filthy now!" Freddie laughed to British magazine Grazia.

"I had to look at chastity belts for men and all sorts of fetishes, which I wasn't aware of."

2014 was a great year for the 25-year-old, with film Pride receiving wide spread acclaim. He also starred in The Riot Club with fellow Brit actors Sam Claflin, Douglas Booth and Max Irons.

The star comes from good acting stock, with his dad Edward, mum Joanna, sister Emilia and cousin Laurence all successful thespians.

However, that doesn't always make it easy to share his riskier work with his family.

"Obviously, being actors, they know you just do what's required in the script. But parents are parents and there's still a part of me that wouldn't want to sit my father down so he can watch me get it on with a 40-year-old man! I'm proud of the show, and I want them to see it, but I might fast-forward through certain bits," he smiled.

There have been rumours surrounding Freddie's close friendship with Cressida Bonas, the former girlfriend of Britain's Prince Harry. While he won't comment on the gossip, Freddie is vocal about his views on love - specifically the possibility of falling for a member of the same sex.

"It would be silly for me to say I'll only ever love women. That would be crazy," he stated.
