George Clooney 'wants low-key lover'

George Clooney is reportedly planning to split from Stacy Keibler as he wants someone “more low-key”.

The Hollywood hunk has been dating the former pro-wrestler since the summer of 2011. When they started their relationship Stacy wasn’t that well known, but she has now become a regular in Hollywood circles and has struck up friendships with stars such as Demi Moore.

It’s thought her love of the limelight is growing tiresome for George.

“George liked her at first because she wasn’t into fame,” a source told In Touch Weekly magazine. “Now that Stacy’s been around the A-list, she’s hooked. George wants someone more low-key.”

Although the pair are said to be going through a rough patch, they did attend the Golden Globe Awards together earlier this month. They smiled as they posed for photographs on the red carpet, with Stacy wearing a strapless black gown that showed off her killer figure.

However, it was noted that they didn’t seem as close as usual.

“Stacy looked distant and sad,” another source said. “She’s usually bubbly and excited to be there next to George, but she was like a statue.”

The pair have been spending increasing amounts of time away from each other lately, thanks to George’s career.

Things aren’t going to get any easier either as George is due to travel to Europe to start shooting his new release The Monuments Men in March, which it’s claimed could put the final nail in the romance’s coffin.

“She likes to have fun and George has been working more than ever,” an insider explained.

“He’s starring in it and directing [The Monuments Men], so he’ll be very busy… that means no Stacy.”

George’s representative has dismissed claims the pair are having problems.
