Gwyneth Paltrow reportedly only sees her marriage split as a "six-month break".

The Iron Man actress and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin called time on their union last month, in a statement titled "Conscious Uncoupling" that was posted on Gwyneth's lifestyle website Goop.

But they've continued to put on a united front, and have remained close thanks to their children Apple, nine, and eight-year-old Moses.

"It seems Gwyneth's had a change of heart. There's talk that she thinks this might be a six-month break while they explore other options and people. There are hints that the relationship isn't irretrievably broken," a source divulged to British magazine Grazia.

Gwyneth and Chris tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in December 2003, and were often regarded as one of the strongest couples in showbiz.

In the wake of the split announcement, the family enjoyed a holiday in the Bahamas together, and were seen looking close at Robert Downey Jr.'s 49th birthday party last weekend.

"There are rumours their vacation became quite romantic by the end. Apparently, the whole family shared a suite," the source added.

While both Gwyneth and Chris have been linked to other people, with rumours that infidelities may have caused the breakdown of the marriage, neither party has commented on the gossip.

It was also reported that Jennifer Aniston was keen to set Gwyneth up with another Hollywood big hitter.

"Now that she's found love [with her fiancé Justin Theroux], Jen wants that same sort of happiness for all her friends, so when Gwyn pointed out that Orlando [Bloom] was hot, she started to play matchmaker," an insider recently old British magazine Heat.
