Chelsea Handler has blasted Instagram as sexist.

Moderators on Thursday removed a topless photo of the comedienne posing alongside a similar image of Vladimir Putin, both riding a horse.

But the former Chelsea Lately host was irate when the post was removed, and called out executives at the firm for holding a dated attitude toward women’s equality.

“If a man posts a photo of his nipples, it's ok, but not a woman? Are we in 1825?” she commented in another post Thursday night.

The accompanying image showed the message Chelsea received when her original image was deleted.

“@chelseahandler We removed your post because it doesn’t follow our Community Guidelines. Please read our Community Guidelines to learn what kinds of posts are allowed and how you can help keep Instagram safe,” it reads.

Chelsea’s defiant response had earned tens of thousands of likes within minutes, with many offering their support.

“GO CHELSEA!!! #femisim #ladiesrule #equalrights,” one follower wrote.

“Can't believe they took it down again #wtf #wtfinstagram #theyrejustboobseverybodyhasthem,” another added.

Chelsea also vented on Twitter about the guidelines that resulted in the photo removal.

“Taking this down is sexist. I have every right to show I have a better body than Putin,” she tweeted, adding that it had happened before.

“If instagram takes this down again, you’re saying Vladimir Putin Has more 1st amendment rights than me. Talk to your bosses.”

A spokesperson for the photo-sharing app had not commented on the controversy at press time.
