Hank Baskett feels free after finally talking about his cheating scandal.

In 2014 32-year-old Hank was accused of having a sexual encounter with a transgender model, which led to a strained time between him and his wife Kendra Wilkinson.

They managed to stay together after Hank revealed what really went on.

"I messed up. I put myself in a bad situation. And everything through me brought pain upon this family.

"I have a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I feel extremely free," he added to People.

According to the former American football player, things spun out of control after he tried to buy some marijuana from a couple in a grocery store car park. He was given a phone number, called it and was told an address. Hank turned up at the place, and after using the bathroom was met by a naked transgender woman making out with another transgender woman.

"I saw something I thought I would never see in my life.

"I froze. I didn't engage in anything," he said, recalling how he was touched through his basketball shorts. "It was like a bank robbery. You never know when you'll freeze. I don't know if it was a couple of seconds or 15 seconds, because all I was saying was get out, get out, get out."

Hank was so upset by the incident that he shut down to friends and family. What made things worse was the story emerged just after Kendra, 30, had given birth to the couple's second child, daughter Alijah.

At first the former Playboy Mansion resident lashed out, flushing her wedding ring down the toilet and threatening divorce. But things have got easier since Hank came clean.

"Hank was very naïve and gullible. He thinks everybody is his friend. That led him to the hell that we've lived," Kendra explained.

"I'm finding the trust again. And I'm actually very happy Hank went through this now because he's able to teach his son and his daughter what it's like to make a mistake and what you do after making a mistake."
