Liam Hemsworth insists he has “no bad blood” with Miley Cyrus.

The Hunger Games actor split from the pop star last year, just over a year after announcing their engagement.

And while he remains tight-lipped about their time together, Liam does insist they ended on good terms.

"There's not much to say; there's no bad blood there," he told NYLON Guys magazine.

The 24-year-old Australian actor also admitted he was overwhelmed by the onslaught of attention their break-up garnered.

"You never get used to it because you get followed and you get chased and it's never a fun experience,” he said of being hounded by paparazzi. “I think when people see photos of you out and about in your personal life, they assume that you've asked for it or that you want that attention, but I don't think anyone in their right mind asks for that kind of thing."

Right now, the star is focused on work.

Liam can next be seen in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, slated for release next month, and is already slated to appear in the follow-up, Part 2, next year.

After spending several years climbing to the top, he finally feels his ambition has paid off.

"If you put the work in, and you show that you're willing to work hard, you'll succeed,” he said. "I feel that I often put in more work, and that is what separates me from the other people."
