Hudgens in the Halloween spirit

Vanessa Hudgens has terrified unsuspecting fans in a Halloween prank.

The former High School Musical star donned a frightening face mask and dirty robe for the stunt at Knott’s Scary Farm in Orange County, California, Entertainment Tonight reports.

Revellers, however, had no idea the star was lurking behind the disguise as she dragged her feet through the venue.

"I'm really feeling the crinkles," one guest told the star as she got close.

"I don't really have crinkles," Vanessa replied as she lifted the mask, inciting a chorus of shrill screams.

Vanessa is expected to be one of several stars who will play similar pranks at the haunted theme park through November 1.

The 25-year-old actress might be among those screaming if she returns to the venue, however.

While she insists she’s fearless in many arenas of life, she recently admitted she has at least one weakness.

“Horror films [scare me]!” she laughed to Germany’s Joy magazine earlier this year. “So much! It used to be even worse, but a really creepy film can still chill me to the bone these days.”

Vanessa isn’t scared of pushing forward in her career, however. And she’s determined to stay present and enjoy each positive opportunity that comes her way.

“I don’t want to get stressed out for no reason,” she revealed.

“Of course I’m hopeful that I’ll still be working for a while. That’s why I’m always trying out different kinds of roles. Should it come to an end sometime, I’ll have so many amazing memories that I can always carry around with me.”
