Hugh Jackman's wife sees him as a mountain climber.
The Australian hunk has been married to Deborra-Lee Furness since 1996, and together they have adopted children Ava and Oscar.
As one of Hollywood's most bankable names, Hugh is always working on one project or another. While he's grown in confidence over the years, the 46-year-old still strives for more.
"I have to keep trying new things or you go stale. I'm a lot more confident as an actor than I was ten years ago and I'm anxious to push myself harder than ever. Playing a villain or a distraught father or someone like P.T. Barnum [from forthcoming film The Greatest Showman on Earth] all present different challenges. My wife Deb keeps telling me that I'm always inventing new mountains that I have to keep climbing. She's right," Hugh told British magazine Hello!
Being on set may be a second home for Hugh, but his true home will always be with his family.
On Saturday the happy couple hosted a fundraising event in Sydney, raising funds for Deborra-Lee's charity Adopt Change, an adoption organisation. It's a subject close to both their hearts.
"My life is centred around Deb and our kids. I wanted to make sure that our home would be as loving and warm an environment as Deb and I could make it.
"She's such a wonderful woman and beautiful mother that I can't begin to explain. She's always been there to support me when I was very focused on my career and I owe her so much," he gushed.
