Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello were "super private" on their honeymoon, according to sources.

The Modern Family actress wed the Magic Mike star in Florida earlier this month (Nov15), and the pair was pictured jetting off on honeymoon to the Turks and Caicos islands after the big bash. Now details have emerged about the couple's post-nuptial break.

According to insiders, Sofia, 43, and 38-year-old Joe celebrated their union by staying in the exclusive Parrot Cay resort - a private island luxury resort - for a full seven days.

The couple apparently requested the most private and remote villa in Parrot Cay and enjoyed "the biggest private pool in the resort", a source told Entertainment Tonight.

While Sofia and Joe are both incredibly active people, their plans to indulge in some outdoor activities or off shore explorations were put on hold by a massive storm that swept the island.

Despite that, the pair put on happy faces and opted to stay in their villa as much as possible, ordering room service to keep themselves sustained.

"One night they had a private dinner on the beach with candles," the source added.

The insider also revealed the new Mr and Mrs Manganiello chose to enjoy each other's company rather than socialising with others at the resort. However, the couple appeared to be "very happy and smiling" and "very much in love".

Sofia and Joe were supported by their family and famous friends as they exchanged vows at luxury resort The Breakers in West Palm Beach. Sofia's 23-year-old son Manolo walked her down the aisle.

The Colombian beauty reportedly wore a custom wedding gown by one of her favorite red carpet designers, Zuhair Murad, while Joe sported a John Varvatos tuxedo for the ceremony. In lieu of gifts, the couple asked guests to donate to one of two charities, the St. Jude's Children's Hospital and Pittsburgh Children's Hospital.
