Jennifer Lawrence reportedly wants to "make things official" with Chris Martin after Gwyneth Paltrow gave her approval.

The 24-year-old actress and Coldplay musician were linked last year following his split from Gwyneth in March after ten years of marriage. While they were thought to have called time on their brief romance it's claimed Jennifer and Chris are still seeing each other, and were snapped having dinner together last month.

And since Gwyneth revealed during an interview earlier this month that she approves of the rumoured relationship, Jennifer is reportedly keen to take things to the next level.

"Jen took Gwyneth's comments as the green light to go public with their relationship. She's persuading Chris to make things official," a source told British magazine Closer. "She's tired of sneaking around trying to keep it a secret - it's making her feel as if their relationship is controversial or she's doing something wrong. She's now keen to show the world she and Chris are an item."

There have been reports that Chris and Gwyneth were thinking of giving their marriage another shot, but the actress is now apparently keen to file for divorce. Despite this, the singer is reportedly being cautious about how he approaches things with his new love interest as he wants to be respectful.

"Chris feels torn - he knows he could risk losing Jen if he doesn't make it official soon, but he's told her he is trying to tread carefully for Gwyneth's sake," the insider added. "It seems he isn't sure if she's ready to watch him and Jen become Hollywood's newest couple.

"Chris is smitten with Jen, he showers her with gifts and romantic gestures. They're already talking about their future together."
