Jackie Chan: We’re all equal

Jackie Chan is committed to showing the world “we are all equal”.

The 60-year-old action movie icon directed and starred in 2012 martial arts film Chinese Zodiac.

And while helming the picture, Jackie intended to leave viewers with a feeling of hope and positivity.

"I want to show the world that we are all equal,” he revealed in an interview with MTV News UK.

“A lot of positive message inside. The whole world, young children, everybody can see it. I think by age, I’m growing up, I’m changed. So all those years you can see my movie be changed [into a more positive message].”

Jackie is famous for his mastery of the martial arts and even in his Golden Years, the star still trains often.

During his exercise regimens, Jackie listens to specific types of music.

“First country song because it really helps me learn English,” he shared. “When I train I listen to rap, but I just don’t understand what they’re saying. It’s just the energy [I’m attracted to].”

Jackie is currently promoting his new film The Expendables 3, which also stars action legends like Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

But he recently confessed he may opt out of such challenging physical roles in the future.

"Well, I want to slow down, but the projects keep coming. And there are some projects I really like, like somebody mentioned China Man, and Civilian. Sooner or later you’ll hear the news," he explained to denofgeek.com.
