Jada: Why do people want Will split?

Jada Pinkett Smith finds it sad that people aren't "rooting" for her marriage.

The actress wed Hollywood superstar Will in 1997 but rumours are circling that the pair's relationship is in trouble, especially since she hinted they have an "open" marriage.

But Jada is now keen to put all the gossip to rest, insisting all is well in camp Smith.

"You'd think people would be rooting for you to stay together not to break up, you know?" she sighed to ET Online.

It's not the first time their relationship has been rocked by rumours of a split. But Jada, who has children Jaden and Willow with Will, is able to see the bright side of the recurring reports.

"It's actually good news and bad news. The good news is there's nothing else to talk about. This has been the only story," she laughed. "Let's round up the divorce story again!

"Will and I love each other so much, and our family and our relationship is so important."

Jada, 43, reasoned that people have to "make their money", which is why they "create" such stories. She also joked the rumour mill would be going back into overdrive because Will, 46, didn't accompany her to the Magic Mike: XXL premiere in Los Angeles earlier this week.

Jada joins the sequel to the popular 2012 stripper film as Rome this time around. With scantily-clad hunks like Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello on board, does her husband have anything to worry about?

“You know he really wasn't [jealous],” she previously laughed. “We've been together for 20 years, you know. And he knows he's got me on lock, so he's good."
