Jamie Dornan will reportedly be paid £4.5 million to star in the next two Fifty Shades of Grey films.

The 32-year-old actor took on his biggest role to date as kinky businessman Christian Grey in the movie adaptation of E. L. James' bestselling book.

Following its release last month rumours began swirling that Jamie would not be reprising the part in the forthcoming sequels, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed. But a spokesperson was quick to deny this and it's now claimed the star has been offered a staggering amount to keep going.

“Jamie has signed the deal and he’s thrilled, the money on offer was just too good.

“He’s been really worried that he will get typecast as Christian Grey and it will do his long-term career ambitions damage," a source told British newspaper The Daily Star.

“So he was about to walk away and leave it all behind then bosses of the movie franchise came back with the jaw-dropping offer.”

This amount would be a massive raise from his original rumoured £80,000.

It was thought Jamie wouldn't continue the project because of his wife Amelia Warner's view on the job. The couple are parents to a little girl and it's thought Amelia was unhappy with the steamy scenes her husband shared with co-star Dakota Johnson, who plays submissive Anastasia Steele.

That isn't said to be the case, though.

“Amelia has no issue with it at all, but Jamie is too embarrassed to let her see the racier scenes," the source added.

Jamie needn't worry about his reputation being tainted by the part as it has just been reported that he has landed a lead role in Sean Ellis' upcoming war time drama Anthropoid. He's said to have signed on as a Czech soldier and will star alongside Cillian Murphy.
