Jamie Dornan finally feels "fulfilled" as an actor.

The British star is the man of the moment thanks to his upcoming role as kinky businessman Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey.

He's also taken on very different parts, such as that of serial killer Paul Spector in UK TV show The Fall. With so many projects under his belt, the former model finally feels he's found his calling.

"I'm very pleased with the way things have worked out for me," he smiled to British magazine OK!

"I spent many years auditioning with nothing to show for it. Now I've been able to work on some very good projects that have made me feel very fulfilled as an actor. This is the life I've chosen for myself, although you still need a bit of luck and the right project so that you can show what you can do."

The 32-year-old started off as a model, but scored his break into movies with Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette in 2006.

While he's grateful to the kickstart his posing gave his career, Jamie is pleased he managed to escape the fashion world.

"I've never felt massively satisfied from standing there while someone takes my photograph," he admitted.

"It's never given me a thrill, but it would take a very foolish man to turn down the stuff that was offered to me. You're in your twenties, and people are going to give you a silly amount of money to lean against a wall with your head down. F**k me, you've got to do it!"
