(Cover) - EN Movies - Jean Dujardin avoids acting at home.
The French star has risen to international recognition thanks to his role as George Valentin in Michel Hazanavicius' critically acclaimed film The Artist.
Despite garnering rave reviews for his starring role in the silent movie, Jean prefers not to bring his work life home. Jean is married to French actress Alexandra Lamy, and the star says his wife keeps him grounded.
"We are not actors at home. Alex makes me fairer and stronger - she carries a lot,” he told French publication Gala.
"My wife is my buddy, my lover, she's my everything! She has been with me since the beginning, she kind of saw me growing at work and I think it is absolutely wonderful to be able to share this unique moment with the one you love."
Jean and Alexandra met in 1999 while shooting the mini-series Un Gars, Une Fille. They were both in relationships and it took about three years before they finally became a couple.
Jean is so grateful for his wife’s influence on his life.
"Alexandra is the best that happened to me, it's an exceptional meeting. Something that happens maybe only once in your life. By chance..." he gushed.
"If I lose Alexandra, it will be a little bit like Jean against Jean, the beginning of the fall.”
