Jennie Garth preps for ‘shared holiday’

Jennie Garth will not be spending Thanksgiving holidays with her children.

The 40-year-old actress and her estranged husband Peter Facinelli split in March after being married for 11 years. The former couple share young daughters Luca, Fiona and Lola together.

Jennie and Peter have decided to divide up family time this holiday season.

"This is my first shared holiday," Jennie told Us Weekly magazine.

"Their dad and I are hammering out the details of that, which is weird. They're actually gonna be with him for Thanksgiving and I'm gonna be with some friends, and then I get to have them for Christmas."

Jennie will still celebrate Thanksgiving with her girls, although not on the actual date.

"We're gonna do our Thanksgiving on Saturday. I'm gonna make a whole meal, have them go shopping with me and help me bake everything, and my mom and her husband are gonna come over," she said.

"For Christmas, it's all about baking cookies -- anything sweet! -- and then giving them out to the teachers and crossing guard guy.

"Today I realised that Christmas is around the corner! I'm gonna get back from Thanksgiving and it's three weeks away!"
