Jennifer Garner doesn't want to feel "guilt" while using technology.
The 42-year-old actress keeps her personal life relatively under wraps, but sometimes speaks out about her marriage to husband Ben Affleck and being a mom to their children Violet, Samuel and Seraphina.
She isn't against social media as a whole, but sticks to one website to keep in touch with fans, admitting any more would mean she's distracted from what's important.
"I have an official Facebook page. I'm not on Twitter, Instagram. I have a couple of reasons," she told People.
"One, I don't want any more guilt coming from my phone or computer. I have the hardest time answering emails, anyway, so the last thing I want to feel is indebted to my phone or computer. So it's time."
It isn't just her schedule being disrupted that has put Jennifer off setting up other accounts. Her other half may share his everyday antics on Twitter and he has an Instagram account, but the brunette beauty doesn't think users would care about what she gets up to.
"And the other is, what would I Instagram that people would want to see," she pondered. "There is nothing I would put out that people would want to see. It's probably best to stay away. They don't want to see me and my mom-friends after kindergarten drop-off."
Jennifer is also wary of her kids using the computer. Her little girls are still young, with Violet aged eight and Seraphina five, so the star makes sure she keeps an eye on them if they do happen to open an unsuitable page.
"I don't let my kids on a computer without me right there," recently told etonline.com. "You have to be on top of it because it would take so little for them to see something that could be an image which sticks in their head that they shouldn't see."
