Jennifer Lawrence isn't concerned about her lacklustre dating life because she likes "being a virgin again".
During an interview for Vogue America's December 2015 issue, which was published earlier this month (Nov15), the 25-year-old Academy Award-winning actress revealed she is "lonely every Saturday night" because no one asks her out.
Fans and some media outlets suggested her romantic dearth makes for a miserable life for Jennifer, but she insists this is not the case at all.
“This is the problem," she explained to Extra journalist AJ Calloway. "You have a conversation with somebody and you're like ‘blah, blah, blah.’ And then all of a sudden these quotes, like, 'Jennifer Lawrence can't date. Jennifer Lawrence is gay...' You wake up and it's like… 'Pow!' It's not a big deal. I'm cool. I'm good. I am a virgin again. That part is true.”
Jennifer is unconvinced her status as a leading lady has anything to do with why she is not attracting a compatible mate right now.
When interviewer AJ suggested she may be intimidating suitors, Jennifer responded with: “No, I mostly don't find guys I like! Haha.”
In her Vogue interview, Jennifer provided further clarification on what she is looking for in a romantic partner.
Although some may assume her requisites for romance are outlandish - because of her high-standing in Hollywood - Jennifer outlined very simple ideal qualifications.
"Guys are so mean to me," she expressed. "I know where it’s coming from, I know they’re trying to establish dominance, but it hurts my feelings. I’m just a girl who wants you to be nice to me. I am straight as an arrow. I feel like I need to meet a guy, with all due respect, who has been living in Baghdad for five years who has no idea who I am.”
Jennifer dated Nicholas Hoult and she has also been attached to Coldplay musician Chris Martin in the past 18 months, but even though her romances haven't been successful thus far, she is still holding out for 'the one'.
“I can’t wait to be married," she smiled. "I feel like if I find that one person who I want to spend the rest of my life with, who I want to be the father of my children, that I would absolutely not f**k it up.”
