Jim Carrey has been spending time with his late girlfriend's family in the wake of her tragic death, according to sources.
Cathriona White was found dead in Los Angeles on Monday night (28Sep15), with TMZ reporting there were pills and a suicide note near her body. It's believed the note referenced a breakup from Jim.
Now sources have revealed to outlets that the Mask actor has met with Cathriona's loved ones.
"Jim has been at his Brentwood home for the past few days and Cathriona's sister visited him last night for an hour," a source told People magazine.
“They spent several hours at his home in Brentwood,” an insider said to Us Weekly, adding Cathriona's mother was also present.
Make-up-artist-and-photographer Cathriona hailed from Ireland, which is where it's believed her body will be flown to.
"It's a terrible journey for her mother to have to make. Everybody is hoping that her body can be returned home quickly now," a family friend told People.
The awful news of Cathriona's tragic death shocked people all over the world and made headlines globally. However, 22-year-old singer Ariana Grande didn't seem to be up to date on the news, causing outrage when she visited a US talk show and gushed about how attractive she finds Jim, 53, less than 24 hours after the reports.
“My childhood crush, like, my lifelong crush, it kind of all goes together - it’s Jim Carrey. I love him so much. I love him so much," she said on Live with Kelly and Michael.
“I met him, and like, cried.
“It was really weird. It was so weird. It was so uncharacteristic of me. I’m usually sort of chill. I’m usually somewhat contained.
“I was kind of nervous to meet him, because, I was like, you know, he’s been my crush forever. What if he’s not as nice as I’m expecting?
“He was so over-the-top nice, and perfect, and just as I hoped he’d be. I was like, ‘Oh my God, you’re so cute. I love you.’ I was like, ‘Wow, help me God, thank you.’”
Jim and Cathriona first started dating in 2012, but broke things off that same year. They rekindled their relationship in May (15).
