Dakota Johnson is reportedly up for a starring role in How to Be Single.

The Anarchy actress is said to be in talks to join the ensemble along with a number of other Hollywood stars, including Leslie Mann, Dan Stevens and Rebel Wilson, according to Variety.

How to Be Single is a forthcoming romantic comedy based on the eponymous Liz Tuccillo novel, which was published in 2008. Writer Liz once worked on hit HBO series Sex and the City.

Christian Ditter is directing How to Be Single, which centres on the adventures of a woman living in New York City who is searching for love.

Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn have penned the screenplay and Dana Fox is currently putting her eyes to the most recent draft.

John and Fox Rickard will serve as producers with Michael Disco and Dave Neustadter overseeing How to Be Single for New Line.

Dakota’s career is currently blowing up with opportunities. The 25-year-old actress has landed her biggest role to date as Anastasia Steele in upcoming movie Fifty Shades of Grey, based on the best-selling book by E. L. James. She stars opposite Northern Irish hunk Jamie Dornan in the role of businessman Christian Grey, who changes Anastasia's life forever by introducing her to a world of new sensations.

Dakota recently spoke about how she is dealing with her burgeoning fame.

“I think about my dwindling anonymity, and that’s really scary because a very large part of me would be perfectly happy living on a ranch in Colorado and having babies and chickens and horses - which I will do anyway," she explained to US Vogue magazine.

Fifty Shades of Grey will be released in time for Valentine’s Day weekend.
