Juno Temple: Being covered in snakes was amazing

Juno Temple found it "bizarre" when a snake sighed in her ear.

The 25-year-old actress' latest role is as Merrin Williams in fantasy horror flick Horns. It follows her character's boyfriend Ig Perrish (Daniel Radcliffe), who mysteriously grows horns after the entire town blame him for her murder.

The slithering creatures feature heavily throughout, mostly dangling from Daniel's horns, but Juno too had a chance to interact with them.

"Yeah, I did actually [film with them]. I had a moment where I had to be covered in them. I'm not sure if it's in the movie - it might be, in the brother's drug trip scene. Weirdly, it was quite amazing. I've never been scared of snakes. I'm really, truly arachnophobic. I hate spiders, but snakes have never freaked me out. I think they're really beautiful," she gushed to cosmopolitan.com.

"No [I wasn't scared]! I had a bizarre moment where one was crawling up through my hair and I heard it sigh. Not hiss, but it literally went [sighs] in my ear. I sort of thought, ‘Wow, that must mean something somewhere’. Hopefully that's a good sign."

It's not just filming with reptiles Juno is open to. The star has appeared nude in several of her ventures, including the latest, and is confident when approaching the subject.

"I've never been afraid of a nude scene if it's something that I think is important in a film. As an actress, taking your clothes off is completely your own choice; it should be up to you; it shouldn't be up to anybody else," she explained. "I don't want to just stand around naked if I don't need to, but I've also never been afraid of it. I'm very European like that. I grew up with lots of topless sunbathing and stuff. It's just a part of life to me, I think."
