Kristen Stewart has reportedly been gifted a wolf.
The Snow White and the Huntsman actress recently celebrated her 24th birthday, with her mother Jules apparently bestowing her with the fierce canine.
Those close to Kristen say the present was a welcome one, and her mom is actually a big lover of wolves and owns four of the beasts.
“Kristen and her mum adore wolves and see nothing wrong with keeping them as domestic pets," and insider revealed to British newspaper The Daily Star. “Jules has even had fierce run-ins with her neighbours over the issue in the past. Kristen has always longed for one of her own.”
While Kristen is used to starring with scary monsters on screen, most notably werewolves and vampires in popular Twilight franchise, she's said to be taken with her new pet.
"Jules secured the rescue wolf last month, then brought him along to Kristen’s Malibu beach house as a surprise on her birthday," the source continued. “She was delighted, and was soon even sharing cakes with him!”
Another surprise gift came in the form of a charity donation from her fans. They decided to raise funds for an organisation close to Kristen's heart and in just a few short weeks managed to donate a sizeable amount of money.
“Kristen is absolutely blown away by the support and generosity of her fans. So far, they have raised over $20,000 for Alzheimer’s research. This was by far her favourite birthday gift,” a source recently told Hollywood Life.
Kristen is set to star in forthcoming flick Still Alice where she stars as the teenage daughter of Julianne Moore’s character, who is suffering from the first stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
“She learned so much about Alzheimer’s working on Still Alice and is overwhelmed that so many of her fans are contributing to the foundation (Cure Alzheimer’s Fund). She wants to do more to help raise awareness, especially with the younger generation," the insider said.
