Kaling recalls 'great love'

Mindy Kaling reveals B.J. Novak was one of her greatest loves.

The pair have been longtime collaborators, as they both starred in America’s The Office and B.J. produces episodes for her current programme, The Mindy Project.

And during an interview on The Howard Stern Show Monday, Mindy confessed she and B.J. once shared “great love”.

“He’s a good friend of mine, yeah. He’s my best friend. He broke up with me,” she told the shock jock. “It was years and years ago that that breakup happened. I was so sad, not angry, sad. That was the hottest I ever looked ‘cause I stopped eating. When I get depressed, I stop eating. I was so miserable and so beautiful.”

She then went on to reveal her sexual experiences with B.J. were “pretty d**n good”.

And although they severed their romantic relationship years ago, she and B.J. are still on good terms.

“He’s legitimately one of my best friends,” she gushed. “I love him, and I think he’s a great person, but I’m not holding a candle for B.J.”

Mindy is happy with the way things are right now and she doesn’t regret splitting up with B.J.

The star now knows exactly why their romance didn’t work out.

“People are so different and you can overlap in certain ways that are important, but not the ones that are the most important,” Mindy explained.
