Kardashians 'seek payout from dad's widow'

Kim, Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian are reportedly seeking a $150,000 payout from their father’s widow.

Kris Jenner’s children with late attorney Robert Kardashian, Sr., including their three daughters and son, Rob, Jr., were countersued by Ellen Pearson last year in an ongoing dispute stemming from the release of the late patriarch’s private diaries.

According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline, the Kardashian family has asked Judge Mitchell Beckloff to order Ellen to pay their legal fees in the dispute.

The family reportedly argues Ellen’s countersuit was reduced to a single count of libel, entitling them to the sum.

Kris’ children with Rob filed suit against Ellen last year, claiming she illegally sold portions of a diary they inherited when their father died of esophageal cancer in 2003 at the age of 59.

The siblings claimed they suffered $500,000 in damages after the items were allegedly sold to In Touch and Life & Style magazines, both owned by Bauer Publishing.

Ellen countersued the family for defamation of character, claiming the reality stars orchestrated the lawsuit against her to keep viewers tuned in to their show.

Ellen attempted to validate her claims by calling attention to the second episode of season eight of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, entitled Enough is Enough.

“Robert’s diaries and notes exposed Kris as a manipulative and devious mother and ex-wife who simply used and exploited her children and family,” filings previously obtained by Radar stated. “The Kardashians carefully developed the Episode as a ‘spin’ to neutralise the exceptionally negative opinion that Robert had of Kris,” she claimed.

A hearing is scheduled for May 5, at which time the judge is expected to rule on whether the widow will be forced to pay the Kardashians’ legal fees.
