Kate Hudson is “not in a rush” to wed Matt Bellamy.

The 35-year-old actress got engaged to her Muse frontman beau in April 2011. However, the pair have yet to make any plans for their big day, with Kate insisting she wants to take her time before walking down the aisle.

"I'm not in a rush. We are basically married,” Kate told Red magazine. “It's really about when are we going to take the time to plan a wedding.”

Kate also revealed she often doesn’t wear her engagement ring because it can be a “little much” in terms of size.

Instead she prefers to wear another piece of jewellery that Matt bought for her after she gave birth to their son Bing in July 2011.

"I'm not wearing my engagement ring because it can be…a little much,” she said. “I like to wear my push gift [another ring] for pushing out Bing."

Kate also opened up in the interview about her figure, insisting she takes her position as a role model very seriously.

The star doesn’t want her slender figure to serve as any form of inspiration for young girls with self-esteem issues.

"If there is one thing I will never have, it is an eating disorder,” she said. “I won't have girls—even if it is just one or two who care—thinking that. Because it is a serious sickness, not something to plaster on the cover of a magazine. And I am the opposite.

"I want girls to love themselves. I want them to feel good about who they are…The thing is, I'm lucky because I was loved. But I have seen so many young women who can't feel good about themselves because they just don't have… that love."
