Kate Hudson says she doesn't "keep any secrets".

The actress and mother-of-two is engaged to Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.

Kate's life is constantly under public scrutiny, but rather than be suspicious she trusts everyone and is always honest.

"I choose to [be a public person]. The reason I trust so much is that I don’t feel like I have anything to hide. If somebody betrays that trust, it could never be so bad, because I don’t keep any secrets," she shared with the US edition of Glamour magazine. "I’ve had friends who’ve lied to me, I’ve had friends who’ve done things behind my back, I’ve had people steal from me - and it doesn’t stop me from trusting. The only thing that gets me angry is with [people who invade the privacy of] the kids. It’s the only place where I sort of go, ‘Is this worth it'’"

Kate stars in new political thriller The Reluctant Fundamentalist. This serious film is a big departure from the bubbly blonde’s rom-com past. Kate has no regrets about her life and is enjoying every moment of the new challenges in her career.

“I feel like this is a great time in my life,” Kate explained. "[What am I reluctant about'] Not much! If I think about my life, I’m not reluctant about taking chances. I’m definitely not reluctant about relationships."

Kate is set to debut her first fashion line for Ann Taylor in May. She's also had a starring role in TV show Glee. She says the secret to making work look so easy is that her career, along with her family, is what she is most passionate about.

"I have always been fiery; I go after things. But what I learned from my mother is to step back and actually experience things that are happening," Kate continued. "So for me, it’s about meditating. My Everest is to have that become a real part of my life."
