Katie Holmes would be interested in a Dawson’s Creek reunion.

Hot on the heels of talk show host Jimmy Fallon staging mini reunions with the female stars of Friends and the cast of Saved by the Bell, the actress has confirmed her desire to do the same.

While fans of Dawson’s Creek have been vocal about getting the cast back together for a special for years, nothing has ever eventuated – but as the 36-year-old told Us Weekly, if anyone can mastermind it, it’s the comedian.

“There’s been a lot of talk about it. And I don’t know because when we did our finale, it was set five years later, so we kind of did that. And Michelle [Williams’] character passed away in the last episode, so… Yeah, you never know. Get Jimmy Fallon on the phone, pronto!” she exclaimed.

The series, set in the fictional seaside town of Capeside, Massachusetts, ran for six seasons, from 1998 until 2003.

It followed the trials and tribulations of movie buff – and hopeless romantic – Dawson Leery (James Van Der Beek) and his friends Pacey Witter (Joshua Jackson), Joey Potter (Katie) and Jen Lindley (Michelle).

The cast have all gone on to enjoy successful careers in TV and film, although Katie’s personal life over the past few years has certainly overshadowed hers.

The actress married Tom Cruise in Bracciano, Italy, in November 2006 - seven months after welcoming daughter Suri. However, after just five-and-a-half years of marriage, Katie filed for divorce from the famous Scientologist.

She retained custody of Suri, now eight, and the pair recently moved back to Los Angeles after several years living in New York.
